Hybrid Construction

Hybrid construction involves a combination of panellised unit and volumetric systems. For example, volumetric modules may be used for regularly duplicated components of a development (such as kitchens and bathrooms), with the remainder of a development or building constructed using Structural Insulated Panels.

Hybrid construction can also involve the use of Structural Insulated Panels as wall members within a volumetric module.  This method combines the automated production efficiency and environmental performance of SIPs, with the off-site assembly and fit out benefits of pods.

Using hybrid construction, completely assembled and fitted out pods constructed from Structural Insulated Panels and a light weight steel frame can be transported and installed on site, ready to use.
